SQF (Safe Quality Food) Certified
Our Quality and Food Safety program is SQF (Safe Quality Food), which is a HACCP-based program. All of our decisions related to our HACCP plan are based on scientific analysis as accepted by Codex Alimentarious. Trinidad invests in our quality program through ongoing personnel training, continuous improvement in processes and equipment, and internal and external audits of our processes and practices. GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative)
GFSI ( Global Food Safety Initiative ) is the leading global standard to insure the delivery of food to the consumer that has been produced according to one of four recognized GFSI standards. The SQF program is one of the four recognized GFSI approved standards.
Allergens
The SQF program we follow has strict requirements for the use and control of food allergens to prevent cross-contamination. Careful attention to detail ensures we handle any allergens safely.
Kosher
Trinidad Benham has an active program for certifying many of our bean and aluminum product offerings. For kosher certification, Trinidad enters into private brand agreements with individual customers and the Orthodox Union, one of the oldest and most prestigious certifying bodies of kosher products.
Food Origin Quality Assurance (QA) Programs
Good food safety starts with good relationships with our suppliers. Our SQF program includes policies for approving our supplier base. We encourage an atmosphere of continuous improvement in their quality systems through HACCP-based policies. Our approach is to source good, safe, wholesome product for processing, packaging and delivery to our customer.
Organic Certification
Our facilities are certified for the handling and packaging of organic products. The CCOF certifies our facilities according to the USDA National Organic Program ( NOP).
