Trinidad's Brands

Siler’s

In 1925, Mahan Siler had a vision: to package the highest quality dry beans in the South. Over the past 60 years, Siler Beans have done just that through innovation, careful growth, and a southern brand of customer service that’s second to none.

Siler started packaging beans for the Knoxville trade area by giving customers exactly what they wanted—rapid packaging of high quality beans in quantities and varieties that fit their businesses. Mr. Siler took great pride in sourcing only the best beans from around the country. Siler Beans quickly became the known as “the beans” for people in the Appalachian region.

The Siler Bean Company installed some of the first automated equipment in the South, and collected input from the best plants across the country to design the most modern, sanitary buildings. Breakthroughs like bulk storage, gentle handling, self-cleaning conveyors and elevators, air washing, and high-speed packaging are just some of the innovations that helped Siler grow to what it is today: the best dry beans in the South.
